This 1989 Island Gypsy 44 is unlike any Trawler yacht out there. The heavy displacement and voluminous hull create a quiet and easy-going cruising experience.

This yacht is very unique and offers a great costume layout. The completely closed, spacious, factory-built, and air-conditioned flybridge/pilot house has state-of-the-art electronics and navigation equipment. Inside the main cabin, starting forward is a large stateroom with V-Berth and insert, ample storage, a large hanging locker to starboard, opening side ports, and a chain locker.

Next aft to port is a two-person stateroom with an over/under bunk configuration, however, the lower berth can be extended with an insert into a small double. This stateroom also has a hanging locker on the forward bulkhead, opening side ports, and provides engine room access through a bulkhead door aft.

To starboard, there's a large head with a Raritan Atlantis toilet, stand-up shower, vanity, and sink.

Next aft, up a few steps, is a large saloon with an L-shape dinette to port featuring a Hi-Lo table that makes into a comfortable double berth.

Aft is the up-galley with a large refrigerator, propane stovetop, and oven, microwave, double stainless steel sinks, fresh drinking water filter, and plenty of storage.

To starboard and forward is the lower helm with sliding deck door, and just aft are occasional chairs and the stairs up and door to the aft deck. Aft and down a few steps is a spacious master stateroom with an island centerline queen, nightstands, and a hanging locker on each side. Lots of drawer storage, opening side ports, a make-up table with mirror to starboard, and forward of that is a storage locker.

To port is an ensuite head with a Raritan Atlantis toilet, shower stall, vanity, and sink. All living spaces are finished in teak and the sole is teak parquet.

The gourmet galley was completely redone in 2004 with newer appliances, counter, corner guide drawers, and additional storage added. The sink has a soap dispenser and telescoping spray water fixture.

A two-level aft deck, a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy. Easy ladder access to the swim platform, and easy walk around to the forward deck.
