This 1983 WD Schock 36 is one of 88 total boats built and is sometimes referred to as a "New York 36".
It all started when some New York YC members engaged Naval Architect Bill Cook to design a boat for one-design racing among members and also be competitive in handicap racing under the IOR.
The NEW YORK 36's raced as a class on the annual NYYC Cruise throughout much of the '80s. A number were also sold to non members, especially on the west coast, where class racing took place for a few years.
The vessel will sleep 6+ people, and comes with a main, new jib, and a storm jib. The oven stove is plumbed for Safgas but not currently hooked up. There are 3 Iceboxes.
This WD Schock 36 is in great condition for her age. Extremely well equipped for SF Bay sailing, her mainsail is well serviced and her jib is near new. The vessel is powered by a Volvo Penta diesel with approx 100 hours per the seller. The fuel tank has been recently serviced and fuel has been polished. 2 New batteries were installed in 2022. Last hauled and bottom painted in 2020.
