1982 Boston Whaler 17 ft. Newport with Yamaha four-stroke engine.
A classic 17" Whaler Newport. This is differentiated from the Montauk by the side console vs the Center Console in a Montauk. Coveted by many....owned by fans of the Whaler.
This boat has a Lowrance fishfinder-depthsounder. The wood decks and trim were replaced with Starboard plastic material for maintenance-free use.
The gas tank is a custom replacement, the size is unknown. It appears to be between 12 and 18-gallon capacity. It is under a replacement seat to maximize the usable space in the boat.
Normal wear for a 1982 boat. No major damage was observed. The hull needs a buff and wax to bring back the shine. Or, paint it with a marine coating as many do to restore these classic boats.
The seller states the Yamaha 70 is in running condition. This need to be verified with a mechanical inspection.
