The Beneteau First 38 has a sterling reputation as a Bluewater cruiser and this one has been around the world - literally!
This Beneteau has been on the hard in a remote storage yard for several years. So she certainly needs a good cleaning, but a week's worth of elbow grease and TLC would have her ready to launch.
She's set up for single-handed sailing and has three (3) auto helm systems. These include a Simrad Wheel Pilot, a Raymarine SmartPilot Auto Helm, and a Fleming Windvane Self-steerer.
Electronics include a Garmin GPSmap 521 GPS-chart plotter, a Raytheon Pathfinder SL70 24 mile radar, and a Standard Horizon Eclipse VHF.
Standing rigging includes forestay with a Profurl self reefings system, a removable stay to convert to a cutter rig, a baby stay, an adjustable backstay. and running backstays. All standing rigging was replaced in 2016 with oversized cable and Sta-Lok and Norseman terminals.
All new Marelon through hulls were installed in 2017.
The sail inventory includes a triple reefing main, a 135 genoa, storm staysail, a storm jib, working jib, and a drifter.
The boat gets its electrical power from a high output 150a alternator and two 100 watt solar panels. There are also 2 power inverters - one 230V and one 110V. There are 2 house batteries and one cranking battery.
A Perkins 4-108 diesel provides the auxiliary power. Engine oil and filter have been changed every 150 hours, the owner confirms.
The boat includes a Mariner 3.3 HP 2-stroke outboard motor.
This boat is currently on the hard and has been for some time. Every square inch of space in the forward V-berth and the aft quarter berths are stuffed with all the things you need to store when a boat is on the hard. Some of the Interior photos show the boat before it was loaded for storage.
The seller states that all mechanical and operational systems function as intended.
