The Cape Dory 28 is a Full Keel design by Alberg. It was designed to be a durable cruiser capabled of handling the Atlantic seas.

Cruising World rates it as a highly desirable used Cruising Sail Boat.They are built like a tank with offshore capability in a compact 28' sail boat.Under sail they are easy to handle in the high winds and quick in light winds.

This Cape Dory has a Ferryman (German) 10 hp Diesel inboard and an auxiliary 6 hp Tohatsu outboard which is used as a bow thruster docking in heavy winds.

The Main sail area is 196.88 ft with 2 reefing points,
The roller furling Genoa is a 135 and there is a 100 jib sail.
The Garnin Echo Map GPS plotter and A & G depth sounder provide he electronics needed for navigation.

Information On Condition

Owner is an engineer and has maintained and updated this sail boat. Seller states everything is in working order.
Interior upholstery is tired and v birth is worn out.

Hull has some imperfections in the gel coat but appears structurally sound. Cape Dory is noted for having been built like a tank and ready for rough seas. They are highly regarded as a used boat.

The Cape Dory has a nice look to it with Bronze hatches, teak wood, and many accessories.

Rebuilt diesel fuel pump, injector, and water pump:2018. Replaced belts & hoses on diesel engine:2018. Replaced running...

Cleaned fuel tank, new fuel lines and separator, rebuilt fuel pump and injector, new water pump, belts and hoses. Teak refinished.
