Located in Kennewick, Washington, this 36-foot Catalina is a great sloop sailboat. Catalina Yachts' business is solely based on sailboats ranging in size from day sailors to lavish vacation yachts.
The Catalina 36 hull performs well in a variety of conditions. The deck is the classic trunk cabin configuration and is comfortable and functional.
The Catalina 36 is easily handled by one sailor and has a big comfortable cockpit. Many experienced sailors consider the Catalina 36 the perfect boat.
The hull is made of rugged, hand-laminated, fiberglass. The mast is stepped through the deck onto the keel and has inline spreaders and fore and aft lower shrouds. An arrangement that is easy to tune.
The galley is a functional U-shaped with composite countertops, the sinks are near the center line for proper drainage. A large, well-insulated fridge/freezer is aft and a dry food locker is forward. Also comes with a gimballed, stainless steel propane stove with oven.
The main cabin can be configured with a dinette or traditional table. The table can be made into a berth with the cushions provided.
Other items include:
- There's a head, vanity and shower.
- There's plenty of storage and a large hanging locker.
- The aft cabin comes with a queen berth.
- Engine access is excellent.
The electronics include a West Marine VHF radio and a Garmin GPS-depth sounder-charter plotter. Also has an AM/FM radio. There's three batteries: Two house and one engine. All are one year old at the time of the listing. Comes with 40 feet of shore-power cord with 'Smartplug'.
The sails include the main sail, a 110 foresail, and a furling jib.
Comes with an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth and speakers in both the cabin and cockpit. The interior lighting has been switched to LED.
