1982 Turn-key Custom built Marconi rig wooden sailboat.
Location: Fort Walton Beach Florida
Owner has spent three solid years investing in and restoring this classic "one of a kind" sloop to better than new condition, and it is in every sense a "turn-key" boat ready for blue water cruising.
She is fast and has been clocked at over 7 knots in stiff breezes. As silent as a "Rolls Royce" plying the waves, as only a solid wood double hull-within-a hull boat can.
She has been around since 1982 and was built by a famous marine contractor/builder that had many boats to his credit; Most of them much bigger. His last one was 54' long! He downsized this one so he could single-handle it and his wife could comfortably cruise through the Caribbean to Costa Rica. He spared no expense on the way he and his son built this boat. Just the parts in this vessel alone are worth a small fortune. Sadly he never got to realize that dream of open ocean sailing. The furthest documented trip on this beauty was from the panhandle of Florida to Tampa Florida.

New solid teak external mounting for the depth sounder was fabricated and installed with 5200 plus backing plate and faired in with fiberglass.
She points high into the wind with large rudder to counter weather helm, and is very easy to steer. The C.T.P. Autopilot runs incredibly silent, especially compared to the Raymarine and other units on the market.
Seldom do the sails need adjustment it seems as she is an incredibly stable forgiving boat.
This boat was designed and built by a locally famous professional boat builder and was his last big boat project. It is somewhat historical in this area, and has seen bay charter service locally by the captain that owned her previous to me. He would take her out occasionally with paying customers so it has passed the Coast Guard for those requirements. There was even a marriage performed on the deck of this vessel! One of the many compliments I get is how much free deck space there is on this boat. The cabin top is strong with no soft spots on either deck or cabin top.
This is literally a turn-key boat with no apologies to be made about any functional items. Vessel has been in the same slip in Fort Walton Beach and the owner has been living aboard on-and-off for the last three years as he restored her. If you are interested in leaving it where it is, you could inherit the grandfathered slip rental of only $135.00 per month! One electing to keep vessel in current location would be privy to their facilities that include a big swimming pool, Jacuzzi, laundry facilities, work out room sauna, free Wi-Fi.
******** Dinghy/tender is a Portland Pudgy with a new 40 pound thrust Minn Kota electric motor. Includes the factory external "H" strap, spring line straps, and internal stainless steel suspension eyelets for secure mounting on davits.
