1986 Ericson 32-3 Sloop Sailboat in East Boston MA

Stock #182134

This fin keel, sloop-rigged Ericson located on Boston Harbor is in great condition and ready to cruise.

Little need for shore power, although it is included, the solar panels fitted outboard to both port and starboard keep the decks clear and provide plenty of energy to keep the batteries fresh. They can be folded down if necessary underway although the boat can be properly sailed in any weather with them up.

The helm has a full array of electronics including Garmin GPSmap 162 and Raymarine ST4000 wheel drive autohelm controls.

The mahogany folding table in the cockpit shines brightly and the teak combing and grab rails were sanded and refinished spring 2019.

The cockpit lazarettes are spacious and there is a propane storage locker, properly ventilated, under the helm seat.

Down 5 steps through the companionway, the navigation station is to port with VHF and second Garmin for chart plotting.

The galley to starboard with has a stainless sink, hot and cold pressurized water, icebox and 2 burner propane stovetop and oven combination gimballed for use underway.

The U-shaped dinette forward of the chart table comfortably seats 4 with the upholstered seating in great condition.

The main cabin has abundant natural light and fresh air from the overhead Bowmar hatch and numerous opening/screened portlights to both sides.

The Universal diesel 21 horsepower engine is running strong and easily cruises the boat under power at 6 knots using only .75 gallons per hour. The folding 2 blade MaxProp has been polished and coated with Petit Zinc Coat.

The deep fin keel allows the boat to point very high and tack very quickly.

The head is located forward of the main cabin and before the forward double vee berth. There is a quarter berth aft of the chart table and another couple can sleep comfortably in the main cabin.

The extensive sail inventory is in good condition and includes Harken MKII roller furled North Sails genoa, a 115% jib, 135% jib, Quantum asymmetrical cruising spinnaker with a sock, full batten mainsail and new mainsail cover.

The canvas of the dodger and bimini are bright flag blue made with Sunbrella in great shape.

The ground tackle includes both a 35# Mantus anchor with 20' 3/8" chain and 200' rode along with a 20# Danforth with 20' 3/4" chain and 150' rode.

Likewise, the bottom was sanded and repainted in 2019 and in great condition.

Recent upgrades include:
-2009 New rudder gland and flange.
-2009 New Victron battery monitor.
-2011- New warm and energy-efficient LED cabin lighting.
-2012 New Hurth ZF-10M transmission.
-2013 New Em Trak R1000 AIS receiver with VHF antenna switch.
-2014 Custom engine panel and instruments.
-2015 New recommended wire harness.
-2015 New FloJet VSD fresh water pump.
-2016 New sump and bilge pumps.
-2017 New house batteries.

This boat is all ready to bring your family and friends cruising both near-coastal and offshore safely and in comfort.

Maintenance records are available.

Information On Condition

All the mahogany woodwork and trim below deck have been very well maintained needing no work. The teak and holly cabin sole shines bright. Even the bilges were spotless showing how well the seller maintained every corner of this boat.

The teak trim, grab rails and cockpit combing was being sanded and re-varnished at the time of the pictures.
