The Ericson 39B was designed by Bruce King and was known as serious racer-cruiser in its day. With its flush deck, this powerful sloop rig has a beautifully finished mahogany interior. The Ericson builder was on top of its game in the 1970s. This is a hard to find listing as only 19 39B models were built.
These 39s are something of a cult boat and a favorite in the Pacific Northwest. With a cabin trunk, King was able to offer more headroom below and at the same time increase the space below the floor.. An offset companionway allowed for an rarely found private aft cabin instead of the normal quarter berth.
The interior of this Ericson is strikingly handsome for her age. This is a good, solid and reliable cruiser with an enormous interior! There is lots of room for two couples or a small family. She is ready for a weekend getaways or serious offshore sailing.
The last owner completed an entire refitting of both the interior and exterior of this Ericson 39B. The Ericson 39B is not only dependable and fast but also a good value in a cruiser.
Needs bottom paint this year. It was last painted two and a half years ago.
