NEW LISTING FOR 2019

2001 HUNTER 340 CLASSIC SLOOP TO ENJOY AND EXPLORE AND MAKE YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE A REALITY.

A BIT OF HISTORY AND WHY THIS BOAT MAKES YOUR HEART BEAT FASTER!

Its all about the tall, fractional rig - a direct descendant of the B&R rig that powered Hunter's Child to a second place finish in the BOC Challenge.

The mast was engineered to carry less weight aloft with smaller sections. Note the swept-back spreaders and reverse diagonals and mast support struts. What that means is increased stability and strength minus a backstay.

A "large roach" main is the power sail. Ease of sail handling and versatility to face the demands of unpredictable sea and wind conditions.

***MAST HEIGHT 55'9" from DWL

***SHOAL DRAFT 4'11"

***AUTOPILOT (in box)

All lines are led aft for short-handed sailing and the coaming wells keep it all organized.

THIS BOAT IS A DELIGHT!

She is everything you think of when your mind is thinking about the perfect sailboat.

The owner of this boat has enjoyed sailing both locally and along the Atlantic Seaboard. Unfortunately the boat must be sold. It is prepped and ready for a new owner.

A well conditioned sloop like this is meant to be back in the water and on to her next adventure.

Take advantage of a great opportunity for you to enjoy a well maintained 2001 Hunter 340 with a listing price based on a "better than" condition for the age of the vessel.

SELLER WILL CONSIDER ALL FAIR OFFERS AND WILLING TO NEGOTIATE

You board the boat by way of a generous swim platform and walk-through transom - its easy to see how the Luhrs family translated power boat conveniences into sailboat design.

There is a folding ladder for boarding the boat or the tender which the owner generously offers to go with the boat.

Another convenience for your guests is the shower at the transom for a quick spritz after a swim.

Step on board and enjoy spacious seating. The owner described the seating arrangement to me as a "hot tub" design of the cockpit. It allows the captain at the helm to remain in the conversation flowing all around.

An integrated arch protects the cockpit from too much fun in the sun with the optional bimini.

A custom console is front and center with a standard VHF. There is a single lever control and fold down table along with engine instrumentation and gauges.

Stern perches port and starboard offer fantastic views and the feeling of being right on the water itself. How fun is that!

Non skid deck keeps you sure footed.
Large roach main sail (in mast) and jib
Nautical blue canvases - in very good condition

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A LIVE-ABOARD CONSIDER THIS 2001 HUNTER 340! IT'S GOT EVERYTHING YOU NEED.

DOWN BELOW: The cabin is well appointed for extended time on the water. Think fun in the sun for 10 - dinner and sleep over for 6.

Port side is the galley with a 2 burner LPG stove/oven, microwave, double sink and cooler!

Tucked in adjacent to the galley is the master queen size berth for two. Storage aplenty in the double hanging lockers. The berth has a port hole to allow for light and sense of spaciousness.

Starboard side is the full Head with manual toilet, sink and hand-held shower.

Staying to the starboard is the Nav Station for all your controls at your fingertips.

Mid cabin is the salon area: dinette that converts to a sleeping berth and sofa on starboard.

Forward is a V-berth tucked behind a lovely teak door. A quirky window can be left open or shut for privacy. This space also has hanging lockers.

HEADROOM IS 6'4"
WIDE BEAM OF 11'8"

Portholes a plenty offer an open spacious feeling. The interior is a contemporary neutral palette of nautical blue and teak.

Sails maintained by a local sailmaker as recently as 2017

Information On Condition

APRIL 2019 BOAT SET TO BE DETAILED SO ITS IN HER BEST GLORY FOR THE NEW OWNER.

The current owner has been meticulous in caring for his boat.

Exterior fiberglass is clear and free of any blemishes.

The interior is open, airy and inviting. You and your guests will have a great time on the boat.

Upholstery looks good - clean and contemporary.

Easy access on all four sides to the Yanmar diesel engine

Overall the boat appears in good condition. All the canvases and outdoor gear are currently stored on the boat.

*a minor scuff on the floor can be buffed out easily.

The Mercury O/B is currently winterized - work done by a boat yard. A new carburetor installed in 2016.

The dinghy by West Marine has a very small air leak which Seller cannot find. By that Seller means - it's good for 2-3 weeks before you can notice a difference.

These 2 items are strictly "as-is".

2018: New windlass, starter and hot water heater 2017: canopy and dodger by Sunbrella repairs to both sails: main and jib 2016: Exhaust hose
