Its gentle and sure sailing features and classic lines have made the Islander 28 a much sought-after boat for experienced and new sailors alike.

The Islander 28 is a substantial boat for its size. Its fin keel, 3,000 lbs ballast, and near-10' beam add to its reputation for a sure sailing vessel.

All winches and sheets for the North Sail main and large Genoa are accessible from the cockpit. The 28 can be sailed alone or with a crew.

The 28 incorporates features for comfortable boating including sleeping room for 5, a fold-up/down salon table, galley sink with pressurized water, and marine head with holding tank.

Dinghy with oars and many other additions are included with this Islander 28.

The Islander 28 was sailed 10 years in Lake Michigan by this owner and then was stored on the hard for two seasons.

The owner indicates the boat is in fully sailable condition and needs some TLC from her next owner.

The woodwork throughout the boat appears solid with good color and needs oiling, staining, spar. The cabin floor could use some attention by its new owner, or not depending on their preference.

The standing rigging is shiny with age showing in some places. Decks and cockpit appear solid without sagging. Halyards and sheets need a good soaking to clean up. Seller indicates sails are in good shape and well cared for.
