2014 Marlow Hunter 40 Sloop Sailboat in La Salle, Michigan

Stock #186726

The 2014 Marlow-Hunter 40 is designed to be easy to sail (single hand), is equipped with a large cockpit, salon and galley, and features two separate cabins with ensuite for privacy while cruising.

Marlow-Hunter incorporated a hard-chine hull to aid in sailing performance and to provide more room and comfortable accommodations.

The aft cockpit features dual helms with a wide walk through between that leads to a fold-down transom that transforms into a swim platform that can also be used as a boarding deck.

The mainsheet traveler is mounted to the arch to provide more cockpit space forward.

The U-shaped seating configuration in the cockpit has seat cushions with a cockpit table center with fold-out leaves.

The companion way is also farther forward that many sailboats this size so you enter the salon almost amid-ship.

Below decks is spacious, functional, comfortable with a lot of windows, overhead opening hatches, and overhead lighting.

The well-appointed galley features two refrigerators located at each end of the Corian counter top, a double Stainless-Steel sink, a gimble mounted two-burner propane stove and oven, a microwave and plenty of cabinet and drawer storage.

Across from the galley is the Nav station complete with a bench, desk with opening surface with storage below. The electric panel is mounted to the wall next to the Nav station.

The Nav station also has an Icom VHF, tank level monitor, a Fusion stereo head unit with multi disc player, and the battery switches.

Forward the Nav station is a sofa with beverage holders behind.

The large U-shaped settee with dining table is comfortable and roomy. The table can be dropped to create a double berth.

An upgraded flat screen TV is mounted on the forward bulkhead with Bose speakers in the salon corners.

The forward berth has a raised double berth with cabinet storage below, a hanging closet to port, shelves with windows to either side of the bed and an opening hatch above.

There is a private head starboard that features a sink, cabinet storage, a medicine cabinet, a toilet with fold down shower seat, and a shower wand.

The master aft cabin contains an island-style queen bed, hanging lockers, opening port holes, and a sitting chair.

The master head can be entered from the master aft cabin or from the companion way.

The master head is outfitted with sink, medicine cabinet, toilet with a fold-down shower chair, and a wand shower head.

The B&R rig is a 3-stay configuration with each 120-degrees from each other creating in essence a 3-legged stool that holds the mast. The upper shrouds are attached to chain plates on the hull. The back stay is eliminated allowing for a larger mainsail and smaller head sail.

The Doyle mainsail is an in-mast furling main with vertical battens.

-Radar upgrade to Multi Functional Display (MFD)
