The O'Day 37 Yacht is a tri-cabin cruiser with big boat amenities and comfort.
An exhilarating performer with racer/cruiser responsiveness and sail-ability. The double stateroom aft with separate head area offers total privacy.
The forward cabin with another head accommodates two more and all their gear. The main cabin entertains crowds by day and converts to an ample retreat for two by night.
The O'Day 37 is also fast and exciting. Solid and trustworthy.
A real cruising yacht that's regularly sailed offshore from Miami to the Virgin Islands yet easily handled by a couple out for a weekend escape.
It should be no surprise that the O'Day 37 Yacht is a popular choice with charter operators in the Caribbean, Greece, Turkey and elsewhere.
Leaders such as Annapolis Sailing School make extensive use of these 37's in their training programs in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Caribbean.
VESSEL DESCRIPTION
Designed by Ray Hunt and built by Pearson/O'Day at the time and is made of solid fiberglass with the inner liner and Balsa & Plywood core FRP decking. The mast is keel stepped, and she has molded-in keel.
Partial interior inner-liners add strength to hull sides as well as fixed furniture to create a uni-body construction that's well bonded to the hull.
The interior is a standard layout with a compact galley aft in the salon with ice box, alcohol canister stove top and stainless sink. The berthing arrangement is master aft and V-berth with a separate head.
The central cabin has bench seating and drop dinette table. There's limited storage under all seating plus a few cabinets and drawers.
On deck, there's room for six in the cockpit. The Edson steering and engine controls comprise the helm. Only Genoa lines are laid aft for easy solo sailing and an abundance of winches make easy work of trimming the sails.
Top deck space is fairly uncluttered with reasonably good access forward.
The full fixed keel is especially good for the deep water cruising around Florida Overall a great light cruising rig or for weekend getaways.
NOTE:
This vessel has a $20,000 Mast - the original was replaced. The mainsail rolls up inside of the mast, eliminating the need for a cover. This also keeps the sail protected from the elements.
Current owner says these are awesome masts!
This is a solid and spacious center cockpit cruising yacht, it includes a full V berth in the bow and large aft stateroom. The O'Day 37 center cockpit is safe, comfortable and easy to sail. TONS of room inside, very spacious cabin area.
