1988 Sabre 34 Mk II Sloop Sailboat in Noank, Connecticut

Stock #227950

The Sabre 34 MK II is recognized worldwide as a solid, well built, and comfortable cruiser/racer. Built in Casco, Maine, these vessels were designed for the challenging sailing conditions of the North Atlantic.

The keel-stepped double spreader mast provides a solid foundation for the rigging and associated gear, giving the crew, or single handed sailor confidence in the boats ability. The pedestal helm provides a clear and commanding view ahead and above, while a Bimini and Dodger provide weather protection. The engine control panel and RAM-3 Remote VHF microphone are to port. A walk around the topsides reveals ship-shape standing and running rigging, and well maintained teak rails.

Below deck, the cabin displays pride in ownership. Teak and brightwork are immaculate and give the cabin a warm, nautical feeling. The V-Berth forward is private with a sold wood door for access and plenty of storage. Moving aft, the head with sink and shower is to port, with the A/C - storage locker to starboard. Continuing aft, a settee to starboard faces the folding dinette to port. Aft of the dinette is the U shaped galley with top load refrigerator, and gimballed stove/oven combination (with cutting board), double sink, and pressure water. Aft of the settee is a genuine navigation station with plenty of room for charts and plotting gear. The navigation table folds up with storage underneath and has opening drawers below. Adjacent to the navigation station is the main VHF radio, electrical panel, and stereo. Finally, aft of the navigation station is a pilot berth with enough room for two.

The dependable Westerbeke diesel engine can be accessed from behind the companionway ladder, or through the port side storage hatch in the cockpit. Hard mounted solar panels provide the ability to keep batteries charged while under sail or anchored out.

This vessel represents a well maintained example of a very popular model. She has enjoyed many upgrades over the years. This yacht is ready to cruise.

Information On Condition

At 32 years old, this vessel belies her age. Per the owner, all sail, mechanical, and electrical systems are operational and the vessel is ready for her next owner to enjoy.

Electronics include CRT Auto Helm (2016), Raymarine displays for wind/speed, vessel speed, and depth. Garmin 3010C GPS plaotter with radar overlay. Garmin gimballed radar radome. Standard Horizon Explorer VHF with RAM-3 remote microphone in cockpit. Sony stereo with cockpit and cabin speakers.
