1971 Tartan 34C Sloop Sailboat in Monument Beach, Massachusetts

Classic centerboard sloop designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Tartan Yachts. Designed to bridge the size between the successful Tartan 27 and the Blackwatch 37 it was a great success from the beginning.
The boat was designed to be a fast sailer and to work well in the racing designs of the day. Introduced in December of 1967 she went on to win her class in the 1968 SORC. In the 10 year production run from 1968-1978, a total of 525 were produced. Countless T34Cs won races in the day, scores crossed the Atlantic and at least one went on to circumnavigate.
Even today she is a very capable and fast cruiser. With a draft of 3'2" with the board up, you can access almost any gunkhole you desire and with an 8'4" total draft she will point and balance exceedingly well.
With a large cockpit, wheel steering, and a dodger you will be comfortable underway. There is ample teak to give her a classic look as well as provide comfortable and secure toe rails and coamings.
Below she offers a spacious and comfortable cabin space. A forward vee is followed by a small enclosed head. Further aft is a large settee around a bulkhead-mounted table with a single settee opposite. Further aft is a good-sized galley with stove icebox and sink. There is a large quarter berth aft to port.
This is a beautiful yacht that will turn heads as she enters harbors and will afford new owners fast and secure passages to new adventures. Call me today to make them yours!
Seller reports the boat to be in good condition cosmetically and mechanically with systems working as designed except the autopilot which is currently inoperable. The bottom was stripped and barrier coated in 2015 and the hull was painted in 2017
