1971 Bertram Flybridge For Sale

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a unique Bertram 25 "Moppie" that has been completely restored by a perfectionist. The boat was a rebuild project by a master craftsman that took him 5 years to complete. In that time he gutted the boat and fixed/upgraded every aspect of the boat, from electrical, fuel systems, engines, structural and more.

The entire boat is coated with All-grip paint, so there are no spider cracks at all. When she was painted, all flaws were filled and faired. The boat features a custom fiberglass stern platform beautifully crafted for this boat by the owner.

The owner also replaced riveted portions of the wheelhouse/flybridge with fiberglass and faired it all in. Engines, v-drives, shafts, propellers, etc. were all replaced. New glass and new Lexan flybridge windscreen. The Bertram Moppie series are beautiful classics, real head-turners.

When you have one of these classic Bertrams, you always have folks coming up to admire it and ask questions. There is something about a Bertram! A little elbow grease, and you will have the finest example of a 25-foot flybridge available anywhere.

This boat has been sitting for the last 6 years, mostly in a shed, but outdoors in the last year. The fuel-injected engines were purchased brand new have only 375 hours and have features like ceramic-lined headers.

When a boat sits for this long unused, there is bound to be a bit of work to get everything all up and running properly. So the buyer is not getting a turn-key boat, but one that will take some work to get back on the water.

This boat had a rainwater buildup, you can see the waterline in the pictures. The water did not enter the engines or transmissions.

The fuel tanks are fiberglass, the owner created access holes so the tanks could be completely cleaned out and painted in ethanol-resistant paint. The owner never put ethanol fuel into the boat after servicing the fuel tanks.
