This Cabo 31 Express is a formidable fishing machine and has accommodations to go longer and farther!
The Cabo is over 33' of on-the-water functionality and its wide 12' 5" beam makes it an awesome fishing platform. The boat can be captained from helm controls in the cockpit and in the tower. It is powered by twin Caterpillar 3126 diesel engines, an awesome powerplant for this mid-size sportfisher.
Set up for fishing, the aft deck is surrounded with coaming pads, rod holders, and rocket launchers. The baitwell is positioned high at the transom next to the tuna door and a wide fish box is in the deck. Outriggers are included in the boat sale.
A double-wide captain's bench matches the spotter seat behind it and a lounger on the port side of the cockpit. All are under a 3/4 surround with isinglass and a big hardtop. At the helm are the Garmin GPSmap 740S, Furuno sounder, Robertson AP300x autopilot and an ICom M412 VHF radio.
The below-decks cabin is a gem aboard the Cabo. At the bow is a V-settee and wood table. The settee doubles as two berths. A second settee on the starboard side of the cabin has a matching bunk that is hung above it when in use, making two more bunks for sleeping. The galley on the starboard side includes a single-burner stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave. The head is located next to the companionway making easy access for Captain and crew.
This Cabo 31 Express is an impressive sportfisher. The boat shows normal wear and tear from fishing. The gel coat is a very nice gray color and shows good shine and deep reflection. The cockpit deck area is prepped for painting. Upholstery and coaming pads on deck are mostly intact and show discoloration from the sun. The isinglass is very clear.
Below decks, the upholstery, wood table, countertops and cabinets, and the cabin sole are all beautiful. The refrigerator and stove are not working.
The bottom was painted at the end of 2021 and the bottom was cleaned in March of 2022. The Caterpillar diesels were serviced in 2022. Both shafts and seals were replaced recently.
