Stock #120570

OVERVIEW: The 33 ft Chris Craft Sedan is a classic all fiberglass hulled Chris Craft, built in the USA, A fiberglass flybridge was added after the vessel was purchased by it's first owner to add shade and protection from bad weather on the aft cockpit.

FEATURES: From the bow to the stern it is set up to have access to all compartments for ease of maintenance, There is an electric Ideal anchor windlass on the bow with 180ft of chain attached which drops into the chain locker directly below at the stem, This chain locker is drained into the bilge to eliminate build up of stagnant water.

On the foredeck is a hinged hatch which can be opened for ventilation or as an emergency escape hatch, if needed, There is a screen for this hatch to keep flying insects out of the forward cabin when used for ventilation.

The side windows, both lower and upper slide to open for more ventilation but all four windows have been entirely removed and re-sealed upon re-installation so there are no leaks.

The cockpit deck aft has two hatches, the aft for access to the steering gear, rudder angle indicator and fuel gauges on top of two 100 gal fuel tanks, The forward hatch gives one access to the shaft stuffing boxes and storage port and starboard.

On the aft salon mahogany bulkhead is a sliding door on centerline which is the main access to the interior of the boat, plus a large portion of this bulkhead is windows which allow light into and visibility from the salon.

To the port of the salon is a fold out double bed/sofa combination and to the forward starboard corner is the main control station, The old propane heater which was mounted on the starboard bulkhead has been replaced with a 4 speaker marine stereo as propane heaters are now illegal in boats.

Going forward down three steps is the dinette to port with new upholstery and the galley to the starboard with a new vent fan, The head with shower is just forward of the galley and a new macerator pump was installed on the head and a new pressure pump with new hot water tank were installed on the fresh water system, A new shower pump out with its own float switch has been installed in the bilge, Under the floor boards in the passage are access panels to the head discharge and LectraSan Sewage treatment system, The refrigerator and hot water tank can be run off either 110v shorepower or the generator, The shore power plug is 100v, 30 amps.

Forward is a double vee berth with closet, All the upholstery is new with a new aromatic cedar liner in the closet and a new vent fan, HULL: It is a single piece molded fiberglass hull.

All the thru-hulls have been replaced with new or rebuilt sea valves, Large portions of the bilges have been painted white for visibility of potential problems, There are 5 electric bilge pumps in different bays of the bilge, all of which are on automatic float switches for safety, plus there is one manual diaphragm bilge pump for emergencies.

ENGINES: There are 2 each GMC 350 marinized gasoline engines, each putting out 230hp, The raw water pumps, belts, fuel pumps and carburetors have been replaced, Both cooling systems have been flushed and the starboard engine exhaust risers have been replaced, The starboard transmission has been rebuilt.

New coolant, oil and pencil zincs have been put in both engines.

GENERATOR: It is a 6.5 kw Kohler generator which has had its cooling water manifold replaced with a new stainless steel manifold, the belts and starting battery have also been replaced, A new automatic charging system monitor has been installed which ensures that all 5 batteries are equally charge but switches off the charging system when the batteries are fully charged.

The battery charger is run off either 110V shore power or the generator.

RUNNING GEAR: Both shafts, strut bearings and propellers have been replaced with new and the flax packing has been replaced, The old shafts and propellers are available as spares.

INSTRUMENTATION & SAFETY: There are at least 6 life jackets on board and a throwable life ring, There are 4 ABC fire extinguishers and 1 dry chemical unit, 2 of the fire extinguishers are new and the others have been re-certified within the past 4 months so they are all current if the vessel was to be inspected.

A new Lowrance GPS and 3 new Standard radios have been installed, 1 radio is an AIS unit that has been registered with the FAA for safety, in case the boat goes missing, There is also a horn, All the instruments and main engine controls are duplicated on the flybridge and one of the radios is mounted up there, The canvas cover for the flybridge and the windshield are new, The 2 windshield wiper motors, arms and blades are new and there is also a searchlight controlled from the salon.

The lower two tachometer are also Floscan units to monitor fuel consumption but they still need to be calibrated, Although there is a depth sounder on the Lowrance unit there is a second independent depth sounder on the console.

Trailer not included.
Information On Condition

This is a Documented Vessel and is in good mechanical and electrical operating condition.

The carpeting inside still need to be replaced and the exterior will need paint although below the waterline it has been sanded and 2 coats of blue Sea Hawk Bottom paint have been applied,

This bottom paint was touched up in March 2016 when the boat was hauled out for the second time since I have owned her and new zincs were installed, PropSpeed was also applied to both shafts and propellers.

Last month, I have replaced the 4 starting/house batteries for $434 and have just had the aft bulkhead that is the back of the salon, sanded and varnished, $1,200.
