The Travis Yachts 30 is a big, beamy, custom sportsfisher that is made for bluewater fishing. The Carolina-style flared hull and 420 HP Caterpillar diesel power deliver the platform and efficiency to head out for several days before refilling the tanks.
The Travis incorporates a lower helm with full instrumentation and electronics and a second helm integrated into the marlin tower for ultimate visibility. The Garmin GPSmap 1040xs and Garmin 741xs units are linked. The helm station also includes a Raymarine VHF radio and a Si-Tex SP-80 autopilot. A Uniden VHF radio is stationed at the tower helm.
The wide and deep aft deck is set up for bluewater fishing with fighting chair rod holders, rocket launchers, outriggers, a live well at the transom, insulated fish boxes, and isinglass protection below the hardtop. The big scuppers at the transom with fresh- and raw-water washdowns make the working deck of this vessel efficient and orderly.
A/C and D/C breaker panels are updated as is the Boss Audio sound system which is Bluetooth enabled. Lights onboard have been converted to LED.
A refit of the cabin space is partially completed. The cabin can be completed by the next owner or used as it is. Wood cabinets and shelves are nicely done and an epoxy countertop is added.
The head and macerator are good. The faucets for both sinks in the cabin need to be replaced. The headliner and flooring has been removed and need to be replaced, and cabinet doors can be added for a nice finished look.
Upholstery at the helm and the tower bridge were in nice shape. The fighting chair cushion will need to be replaced eventually. The hull gel coat could use a cleaning and buffing, and painting is needed on the foredeck, hardtop, and the bottom.
