In my younger days, I enjoyed coaching basketball and tennis. My passion and drive in coaching allowed me to work up and down the Pacific Coast. I have worked with many Hall of Fame coaches, including Ralph Miller of Oregon State. I have had the fortune of coaching many division I athletes and nationally ranked tennis players. After losing a coaching job in California I figured out I needed to have a passion and drive that I could control. It goes without saying, I turned to Sailing and being a "Parrot Head."
I moved back to Seattle and after 5 years of looking for the "perfect" boat, I dove in and bought my first boat "The Brain of Pooh" - a 1985 30 ft Catalina. It wasn't long before I became involved with timeshares and charters. I sailed about 12 different sailboats in a period of 10 years, learning there is no "perfect" boat, just the next one you always wanted.
I now have a family of five. My wife and I are both teachers. My oldest will be off to St. Olaf College where he hopes to play baseball and sing. I am transitioning into an early retirement and now I am here to help you with my favorite "hobby" of looking for the "perfect" boat or rather the next one you always wanted.
