My name is Juan Nieto but my friends call me JC. I was born and raised in San Juan, PR where I grew up visiting the beach on a weekly basis. After graduating from college and saving some money I was able to purchase my first boat, a Grady White Islander back in 1992. Needless to say, my wife and I put many hours into those engines visiting the Virgin Islands four or five times per year as well as the nearby islands in the northeast of PR. After that boat other followed. In 2005, I became the dealer for Triton Boats in PR. As the owner for Sunset Marine I sold new boats in San Juan until 2010. After the recession, I stopped importing new boats and became a full time Captain providing a daily fishing excursion business in San Juan, PR. After several years, I was able to relocate to Hershey, PA where until recently I have been working in several industries. In 2019 decided to come back to the industry as a Sales Rep for POP Yachts. I currently hold a USCG 100 ton Captain/ Merchant Mariner credential. I am also knowledgeable in marine systems with formal studies in Diesel and Industrial technologies. As a hobby I buy and restore boats and currently I keep my fishing boat in Delaware. Some old and new fishing adventures can be found at my SunsetChartersPR Facebook page.
