1937 Star Shipyards #5 Pacific Pilot Trawler in Rockland, Maine

Stock #250047

AMAZING 1937 Star Shipyards #5 Pacific Pilot Double-Ended North Sea Trawler was restored in the early 2000's and is ready for you to add to her incredible history.

This beauty was built in British Columbia and designed to navigate extreme conditions of Columbia River and Alaska.

Of course she has been rebuilt many times, but the most recent restorations began in 2007 which included:
a full hull and deck restoration. The deck is dynel over wood. The hull has an ironwood overlay at the bow and the super structure is made of Alaskan Cedar and Oak.

She had new electronics installed during the 2007-2009 restoration along with completely new wiring, plumbing, tanks and steering system installed at that time.

You will definitely be comfortable on this boat, since she has A/C, an Espar diesel heating system. While docking and in tight locations, her bow thruster is a great asset.

She has a full galley with seating for two and 2 cabins for sleeping. The vee berth forward is spacious and well ventilated. The main salon sleeps two on port and starboard settees, along with another 2 pipe berths available above the settees...and it has a TV tucked way in a locker. This area is a bright interior space for entertaining.

Topsides aft, you will find a fine fixed hardtop bimini that provides great deck space for lounging while underway or at anchor.

Information On Condition

We encourage all inquiries and questions relating to its present condition, the accuracy of details including but not limited to its location, engine hours, service history, listing status and features.

According to the seller, everything worked fine on the two short trips he has taken recently on the boat, except for the radar system.

The toerail, deck and topsides show very well and are nicely protected with many canvas covers. The hull above the water line is covered with a composite material which is in the process of being repaired.

Among other things, the hull below the water line needs work as can be seen in the pictures. The pipe stanchion systems needs some repair, and the keel cooler condition is suspect.
