BRING OFFERS!

A VERY ORIGINAL AND TRULY FLORIDIAN TRAWLER!!!

Owner's Pride and Joy - 11 yr ownership!!!

"Thompson Industries of Titusville, Florida was designing and building boats for the Gulf Coast commercial shrimping and fishing industry. The Thompson 44 was conceived by Rodney Thompson, a boat builder who in 1969 actually invented the machine that automatically splits rock shrimp and made it much more commercially viable to serve them up on dinner plates throughout the South.

These boats were produced between 1976 and 1979 when the factory burned down. They were delivered to their owners with hull, deck, and engines, but the interior was up to the individual"

Less than 100 made during the late 70's!

Third Owner - 1977 Thompson Long Range Trawler powered by Twin Perkins 135 hp engines. This solid fiberglass (1" thick) trawler cruises at 8 knots burning ~3.7 gallons of Diesel an hour. Thanks to its massive 1000 gal Fuel Tank it has an approximated range of 2400 miles.

True bluewater-capable long range cruiser with space and amenities to make it the perfect liveaboard. There's not a place in this boat where you'll feel uncomfortable. Even the engine compartment has an impressive 5'3" headroom and plenty of open space to accommodate an array of accessory systems.

Come into the saloon through the stbd side entry door, and the first thing that will catch your eye is the amount of space and natural light available thanks to the high ceiling and all-around BIG windows.

Visibility while navigating from the lower helm station is definitely not an issue.

The helm station is immediately to your right and port side fwd, there's a big navigation desk which also serves as a dining booth for two. Four steps down fwd take you to the fully equipped galley.

Past the galley, you'll come into the Fwd stateroom which has been modified to a V-Berth and has its own private head.

Back in the saloon facing Aft, you'll find a sleeper couch with built-in side cabinets on the port side, two chairs and the entrance to the Aft stateroom on stbd. Four steps down and take you to the aft stateroom which includes an island queen berth, a hanging locker, wall cabinets, and a private full head with a shower. Big windows brighten up the space.

Outside, you'll find multiple levels with ample space for entertaining. Thanks to its 15' beam it's easy to move fwd and back through its side walkways.

There's plenty of walking room in the foredeck to manage anchor duties, and it the perfect spot to lay some cushions and lounge back enjoying the surroundings.

From the aft, you have access to a mid deck and fly bridge. The mid deck provides a lot of room for covered storage under its full bimini top and provides the perfect setting for an outside patio set. The flybridge up top is open, provides great visibility all around and is also covered under a full bimini top.

Equipment-wise this Thompson comes fully loaded with 12 kW generator, water maker (500 gpd), individual washer and dryer, 12 gal water heater, water filtration system, air conditioning, autopilot, windlass, deep-drop fishing equipped etc. The flooring is a combination of carpet and wood.

A MUST SEE!!!

Dinghy included: 15' Fiberglass Skiff with Yamaha 9.9

Information On Condition

Current owner has owned this vessel for 11 years

Overall, the vessel is in great shape for its age. Needs some cosmetic work, but once completed it will look and feel like a new vessel.

The hull exterior needs to get compounded and waxed. Bottom paint will need to get re-done soon.

There are some gelcoat cracks on deck that could easily get repaired. All windows look to be in great shape for the age of the boat, especially for a Florida boat.

Bimini canvas is Sunbrella material and still have a couple of years of use.

The interior is in great condition, and the wood work is in impressive shape. The saloon carpet is always kept under runners. Stateroom cabinetry looks in good condition.

According to the owner, all equipment is in good condition except for the Saloon and Fwd Stateroom ACs which need work, and the GPS/Fishfinder/Plotter which is non-operational.

The owner currently navigates using a Navionics tablet application.
