This Ex United States Coast Guard Buoy Tender, the White Holly is a 134-foot safe, stable economical Research Vessel that has recently undergone a major refurbishing and has proven to be fully operational. This vessel is economical to run, easy to maintain, extremely well built and designed to be a multi-operational platform. Whether it's the 3700 nm range at 9 knots, shallow 6'5'' draft, 30-foot beam, wide open decks with high deck strength all make this ship capable of supporting multiple types of missions or could be converted for recreational yachting.
Vessel layout includes a well laid out bridge with good all-around visibility with an adjoining Owner/Captains stateroom with private head/shower. On the main deck, there are 7 staterooms with 16 single navy style bunks allowing ample stowage of personal gear. Included on the main deck is the galley with seating for 16, lounge and crew head. Galley includes high-end commercial appliances, stainless counters/sinks, and ample freezer /refrigeration capability. Access to the main deck aft is through a watertight door to the stern where the A-frame is located. The A-frame is 25 feet high, rated for 5 tons with good fairleads to the towing winch used for a variety of towed arrays.
The engine room is above average in design, quality of piping and electrical service gives full access to all equipment and systems for operation and maintenance. Included in the E/R is a machine shop, tool room, steering systems and incredible amount of vessel spares all properly stowed and inventoried. Access to the buoy deck is through two WTD in the forward part of the house on the main deck, the "buoy deck" has a high PSF rating, with ample tie downs for mission equipment, with easy access to vessel electrical and communication systems to ease plugging in chartered vans, etc. Bulwarks are removed midship to facilitate launching a multitude of equipment with the boom rated for both 20K and 8K pounds. Forward of the buoy deck is access to the bosun's workshop, cargo holds, crew lounge and washer/dryer units.
This vessel is extremely versatile can be used to refuel vessels, lift and stow smaller vessels, 1500 square feet of open deck that can be serviced with ships gear. As witnessed by vessel specifications the vessel carries a large amount of potable water, fuel, lube oils and has the ability to make 300 gallons of water a day. Whether it's a shallow water charter that requires weeks of support at anchor or work hundreds of miles offshore in a moderately rough environment the White Holly has you covered.
