The designers at Mastercraft have tweaked a great ski boat by providing updates and refinements that allow it to track better while providing an updated modern look. The updates that Mastercraft made to its great-performing ski boat include a tunable rudder, new hull rails, and now included four tracking fins. This improves handling and steering performance while still providing a flat skiable wake.

The Prostar also has many refinements giving the boat a modern convenience while retaining a classic look.

The swim platform position has been lowered closer to the water. This makes it easier for skiers to get into and out of the water while also reducing cockpit noise from the exhaust.

The engine housing has also been redesigned to allow better airflow. This slight modification provides a quieter ride and helps keep the engine cool while increasing airflow.

A more contemporary look on the inside of the Prostar begins at the dash where you'll find a 10-inch touchscreen display. The display has been purposely positioned to the right of the steering wheel to provide easy viewing and control by the driver. The display with an anti-glare screen replaces the rack of gauges.

The Zero Off system is integrated into the display. Even the stereo controls have been integrated into the screen. A convenient phone holder with integrated wireless charging pad has also been added just in front of the throttle.

Another subtle feature is indicator lines on the walk-through windshield. The markings on the windshield allow the driver to line up the markers on a ski course allowing the boat to be better centered.

The bow area comes with a fiberglass bow cover to convert the boat into a closed bow configuration. When removed there are you can seat 2 riders at the bow.

There is an aft-facing seat that can be folded down to provide access into the bow area. A flip-up aft-facing seat can accommodate up to 2 persons. There is a large storage compartment behind the seat when it's open. The aft seating located to the starboard and port can be removed easily.

This Prostar has a gunnel ski rack to port and starboard to secure skis when not in use. The cockpit and swim platform is covered in Seadek, a nice upgrade.

A pair of flip-open hatches can be accessed from the swim platform or from inside the cockpit. There are bins located beneath the hatches that can carry gloves and ski lines.

The Mastercraft includes a bimini and a black boat cover.

The overall condition of the 2022 Mastercraft Prostar is very good. The exterior was found to be in good condition with no major scratches, cracks or gouges detected.

The interior was found to be clean and in good condition. There were no rips or tears detected on any upholstery. Note: the flip-up rear-facing seat was getting reupholstered due to a manufacturing defect in the covering.
