We're sorry to see this one go but happy to say that she has been sold.
This boat is perfect for the skipper that prefers the performance of a direct-drive inboard. It's 94 inches in width, making it the widest direct-drive inboards on the market. It's ideal for a family or a young couple preferring more adaptability & maneuverability than a traditional inboard. This design allows for more storage space and walk-around room throughout the boat. A two-person observer seat and a true walk-through open bow are unique for this size boat.
The bow is extremely deep making it safer for kids. There's Skybox seating option for four adults in the back of the boat watching the rider, adding a unique vantage point and the equivalent of two fat sacs.
There's a watersports tower, which lays down on the deck and folds down in about a minute. The design of the hull features a 30-degree entry vee flattening out to a 3-degree dead rise in the transom, giving it a soft ride in rough water.
Coupled with TAPS, it's the most versatile ride. You can take this boat down through 38-off and have world-class tracking and world-class short-line slalom wakes. Plus, you can get out with the Skybox seating with the wakeboard TAPS setting and have great boarding wakes, too.
This particular boat does so many things so well. It doesn't compromise slalom wakes for wakeboard wakes, nor does it compromise wakeboard wakes for slalom wakes. For someone who is looking for the total water-sports experience, plus storage, plus ride, it does it better than anybody in a direct-drive inboard.
To make a no-compromise boat, the trick is to make it wide-bodied in order to have room and storage with hull adjustment. The ability to trim the boat is key. TAPS uses the mass of the boat to change the attitude in the water at the touch of a button, allowing for greater versatility. Adjusting a boat's attitude in the water is a given in almost every other style of boat outside of the ski boat industry.
There's a rack-and-pinion steering, with Teleflex extreme cables for a much more direct steering feel. The Dino steering wheel is imported from Italy. There's a Clarion stereo with cd player with amp for an extra kick, a backlit automotive-style Faria gauges, a low-profile dash, and a Teleflex throttle which allows for a smoother operation and more accurate speed handling.
The 34-ounce vinyl is more puncture resistant. The entire interior is designed to be a much more comfortable layout. Forty-ounce carpet is a standard. The tower option on the boat is four-board rack standard.
With minute adjustments to the TAPS, wakes are small and soft from the long line through 35 off. The good throttle response, ease of holding speed and excellent course visibility gives neither the driver nor skier any chance for excuses.
You want to load the wakeboard up with passengers in stadium seats then put a fat sac up front to get the wakes up to size. It's really good through double-ups and super stable for the driver and rider. The tower is outstanding. The unweighted wake isn't huge, but with TAPS around six, the lip gives a nice kick that's great for spinners and recreational to advanced riders. When weighted, we liked the performance with TAPS around two.
All Tige's are made for kicking back. Their ergonomics work for maximum comfort. This boat is a versatile ride that dimensionally is one of the biggest inboards in its size category. It handles the rough water like a legend and is equipped with a great deal of storage. There's adequate legroom for the driver, and the true walk-through into the open bow is convenient.
The formula on this boat is spot-on. The deep-entry vee chews up rough water, the rock-solid Quadrabeam chassis system gives the ride and the TAPS provides unparalleled wake versatility for any discipline. Inside the boat, the innovative Skybox stadium seating holds four people in the back for watching the action, the outstanding tower and storage areas keep gear out of the way. It's nice & spacious up front.
There's luxury car amenities in the dash and cockpit with sports car looks. Plus you get razor-sharp direct-drive handling, all in a package big enough to hang out in all day.
The interior was redone 2 years ago and is a beautiful upgrade over the stock upholstery. Is in very good condition has one small 1-inch tear. After spending a couple hours viewing this boat and talking to the owner it is pretty obvious it has been very well cared for.
With only 250 hours on the engine at 15 years of age, the boat is immaculate to say the least.
Someone will be getting a great boat with many more years of fun and pleasure. You will not find another Tige this age in better condition.
