The Grady-White Explorer 240 is one of the more popular and harder to find fishing/cruiser vessels in the market. If you are looking for a safe and seaworthy boat for a large body of water then look no further. This is one vessel well known for its safe and seaworthy build and it will leave you, your family, and friends to be able to focus on their enjoyment on the water. Fishermen and cruisers a-like consistently agree that this is the go-to boat for seaworthiness, safety, and tough durability.
This Explorer has Grady-Whites famous SeaV^2 hull design giving this boat one of the softest, driest, most stable, and best tracking boats on the water. The hull performs exactly as it was designed to perform.
In light chop or low swells, the Explorer will plan quickly and give you a smooth dry ride. And running fast across the tops of the waves or in a tight turn she will feel stable like a much larger or heavier boat.
The throttle/gear is controlled with a single lever and provides a thumb-actuated switch for the engine trim/tilt. This allows the skipper to adjust both the boat speed and engine angle simultaneously while helping the helmsman to control the boat by keeping both hands on the wheel.
The helm has an excellent instrument panel providing easy visibility to the navigation tools, water conditions, and gauges.
Other safety features include enough foam flotation in the hull to make the boat unsinkable. The same foam acts to reduce the boat noise and increase the insulation. The deck layout is simple and functional for sport fishermen.
The cockpit is large and open providing the fisherman to maneuver around the boat to bring in your catch safely and easily. When fishing in rough water to Explorer, the anglers can stay safe by tucking their toes under the rail and keep their knees against the padded cockpit gunwale.
Inside the small cabin, there is a sink with a ten-gallon water tank, fully padded double v-berth, and a marine head compartment. Finally, for boat comfort, this Explorer provides shade in the summer and shelter in the winter with the popular Bimini hardtop and side curtains option.
